Sathya Adithya Thati of Hyderabad secured first rank in the Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test (TSICET) by scoring 164.28882 marks. The second place went to Yelchuri Sai Sandeep, also from Hyderabad, with a score of 163.90785. Interestingly, Sai Sandeep has already joined IIM Bangalore for the management programme. He did his Computer Science Engineering from BITS Pilani Hyderabad.
Announcing the results here on Wednesday, Telangana State Council of Higher Education Chairman Prof. T. Papi Reddy said that 61,439 candidates registered for the exam, of which 55,191 appeared and 49,812 candidates qualified registering a pass percentage of 90.25. The exam is conducted for admissions into university and private affiliated colleges in Telangana, offering MBA and MCA courses.
Prof. Reddy said the counselling schedule would be issued as soon as the affiliation process of the colleges is finalised.
Last year, about 28,000 of 32,000 seats were filled in 304 colleges for MBA while 3,306 seats of 5,846 seats were filled for MCA in 49 colleges.
