A customs help desk has been set up at the office of Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) at Shakar Bhawan, Basheerbagh, in the city, for settling IGST refund issues of exporters.
The help desk, to be operational from July 20 to August 1, would handle issues related to all ports irrespective of the city that the exporter represents. It would also provide information related to reason for errors and how to rectify the same, a release from FIEO said.
Regional Chairman of FIEO - SR A. Sakthivel thanked CBITC (Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs) for agreeing to his suggestion for setting up such facilities at the FIEO offices in Chennai, Bengaluru, Kochi, Coimbatore and Hyderabad. A help desk is also to set up at AEPC Office in Tirupur.
He urged the trade and industry to make use of the opportunity, the release said.
