Telangana Additional Advocate General J. Ramchander Rao on Thursday requested the High Court to hear the Public Interest Litigation (PIL) petition filed by retired DGP Bhaskar Rao and others on the proposal to construct Secretariat at Bison Polo Ground in Secunderabad.

Making a mention of the matter before a division bench headed by Chief Justice Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan, Mr. Rao said the Centre was ready to allot the land to the State government. If the petitions related to the matter were heard, the government would get clearance and go ahead with the proposal, he said. The bench posted all the petitions related to the matter for hearing on January 29.
