Minister for IT K.T. Rama Rao on Saturday launched the ‘Intinta Innovator’ campaign by Telangana State Innovation Cell (TSIC) at the Pragathi Bhavan.

The campaign aims to reach out to every member of each household to encourage them to think of themselves as problem-solvers.

As a first step to foster the roots of innovation in the State, the TSIC is collaborating with Startup India under the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion for Startup India Telangana Yatra. Establishment of E-Cells and showcasing of rural innovators from across the State in every college it visits will be part of the Yatra.

The campaign not only seeks to change the mindsets of individuals towards innovation and entrepreneurship by encouraging them to believe in their capability to innovate but also to provide the right set of tools and mechanisms for them to act upon such a belief, a press release said.

The innovation cell plans to collaborate with various institutions during the course of time to make the campaign a success, it said. Interacting with Vice Chancellors of State Universities, Mr. Rama Rao requested them to encourage students to become innovators.
