Prime Minister Narendra Modi called up Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to greet him on his birthday. Mr. Modi also wished Mr. Rao on twitter a little earlier. Mr. Rao thanked Mr. Modi, Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, Maharashtra Governor Ch. Vidyasagar Rao and A.P. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, all of whom who wished him over phone.
Twitter greetings
The twitter greetings came from film stars Salman Khan and Pawan Kalyan, Olympic silver medalist P.V. Sindhu, tennis star Sania Mirza and Mr. Rao’s son and Industries Minister K.T. Rama Rao.
The Jr. Rao tweeted “to the greatest son of Telangana, a peerless leader and a fearless fighter, proud that he is my father. Wish you a very happy birthday dad”. He also posted a picture of his father in the tweet.
In 2015, Mr. Rao had cut the cake to celebrate his birthday at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai while on tour. Mr. Vidyasagar Rao had hosted lunch for him then.
