Greenery along ORR inspected

Officer on Special Duty for Haritha Haaram programme in Chief Minister’s office Priyanka Varghese conducted surprise inspection on the Outer Ring Road for development of greenery and issued necessary instructions to officials on Monday.

The inspection was in the run-up to a visit by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao soon, she informed, and wished for the 158-kilometre stretch to be fully planted, with special emphasis on the junctions and service roads.

She also instructed the officials to replace the dead plants with new ones and to take action against contractors for laxity and slack monitoring. She expressed happiness at the planting programmes done by private companies as part of Corporate Social Responsibility.
