Gold ornaments recovered; six arrested

Members of three gangs held for burglaries in city

One comes in a car all the way to Hyderabad from Pedda Parupudi in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh, while three others, members of another gang, commute by train from Nanded in Maharashtra to commit house burglaries in the city. They return back on the same night.

K Anoop Kumar and K Mallikarjun of a third gang travel in a car and commit offences in the city.

Six of them were arrested by the Cyberabad police on Monday and 1.54 kg of gold ornaments recovered from their possession.

Cyberabad Commissioner of Police V.C. Sajjanar said that G. Rambabu, 31, a native of Pedda Parupudi, a previous offender, used to break open the main doors of houses with iron rod and flee away with the booty. “The accused from Nanded targeted locked houses close to the railway station, commit the crime and return back on the same night,” he said.

The accused were identified as Baliram Vishanath Jadav (35), Sukdev Maruthi Pawar (42) and Pitla Ankush (32).

“Six of them were involved in more than 35 offences in the city,” said Cyberabad DCP (crimes) G. Janaki Sharmila.
