GITAM signs MoU with C-DAC

GITAM University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) to offer postgraduate programme (M.Tech) in electronics design & technology.

The C-DAC Hyderabad director E. Magesh exchanged the document with GITAM Registrar M. Potharaju in the presence of GITAM Vice-Chancellor M.S. Prasada Rao, C-DAC Technical Coordinator R. Ganga Prasada, Administrative Officer BSRK Vara Prasad, GITAM Institute of Technology Principal K. Lakshmiprasad and ECE Department Head P.V.Y. Jayasree.

As part of the MoU, they will jointly launch M. Tech in Electronics Design & Technology (EDT) programme with 25 seats. The admission will be on all-India basis through GITAM Admission Test (GAT). The C-DAC would provide necessary guidelines and faculty training as and when required. The C-DAC and GITAM shall explore the possibility for promoting placement support for M. Tech (EDT) students in the final year of the programme, the MoU read. The C-DAC Hyderabad director they have been engaged in multiple areas of ICTE particularly in the areas of high performance computing, cloud and grid computing, and multi-lingual computing.
