Girl falls into borewell, rescued

A five-year-old girl who accidentally fell in an open borewell at Govindpally thanda in Mohammadabad village of RR district reportedly on Tuesday, was rescued in the night.

K. Anjali was trapped for several hours in an open borewell in a field. Locals, who noticed the girl in the evening, alerted the police and revenue officials.

A police team from Mohammadabad police station along with revenue officials rushed to the spot and launched rescue operations. “Luckily the girl was trapped at seven feet depth, so we could rescue her easily,” Soma Narsiah, Sub-Inspector of Mohammadabad, said.
