GHMC asst. medical officer, scribe in ACB net

Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Saturday nabbed GHMC assistant medical officer of health, Secunderabad zone, and a journalist from a vernacular newspaper, when he allegedly received ₹ 20,000 bribe through the latter from a catering firm owner.

The accused officer, N. Venkat Ramana, demanded bribe from the complainant Abdul Ahmed for not seizing and to process the application for issuing food licence. Based on the directions of Venkat Ramana, the accused journalist G. Ramakrishna received the bribe amount from Abdul Ahmed and was caught red-handed.
