The Special Operations Team of Rachakonda police on Saturday raided two different brothels in Saroornagar and Balapur and nabbed four pimps, including two women, and rescued 10 sex workers.
In the first operation in Saroornagar, the police arrested a 30-year-old pimp, Malekadi Nagamani, a resident of Balkampet, and rescued a victim from her clutches.
During interrogation the accused said that she was running an online brothel at Saroornagar for the last two months by procuring sex workers from across the city and paid them between ₹ 5,000 and ₹ 10,000 per day.
The sex worker was sent to a rescue home.
In the second operation, the police arrested three organisers and rescued nine sex workers in Balapur.
The accused were identified as Mohammed Maqsood Khan (50), a resident of Shaheen Nagar in Chandrayangutta, Mohammed Ghousuddin (48), a resident of Bandlaguda, and a woman organiser.
Police also arrested three customers Md. Majed (30), a resident of Noori Nagar, Bandlaguda and Md. Naseer (21) and Md. Suleman (21), both residents of Kavadiguda.
