A 69-year-old Ukrainian woman died mid-air in a Bangkok-bound flight, which had to make an emergency landing at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad around 3 a.m. on Tuesday.

The Qatar Airways flight started from Doha to Bangkok. The woman Konkina Galyna reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest and the flight was diverted to the airport in Shamshabad.

A medical team from a private hospital located on the airport premises rushed into the flight, but she was declared dead by then.
