The Bathini family will administer the ‘fish prasadam’ here from the start of the Mrigasira Karthi day from June 8 at 11.45 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. on June 9, at the Exhibition Grounds, Nampally.

“We want to thank Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy for their help, because of whom all the arrangements have been made,” said Bathini Harinath Goud, secretary of the Bathini - Mrigasira Karthi Fish Prasadam here on Thursday at a press conference.

Mr. Goud said that they had approached the Hyderabad District Collector and the police, Roads and Buildings, water board, electricity board, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Road Transport Authority (RTA) and others to make arrangements for administering the ‘fish prasadam’.

B. Shivanand Goud, trust in-charge, said that about 3.5 quintals of the ‘fish medicine’ will be made this year, and kept ready two days before they administer it. “Last year, we prepared 3 quintals and about 3.5 lakh people were given it. This year we will prepare more if needed,” he mentioned.
