GHMC Commissioner D.S. Lokesh Kumar instructed the Town Planning officials to ensure counter affidavits are filed in contempt cases within a week’s time.

Action will be initiated against the officials who do not file counters, the Commissioner warned, during a review meeting on Wednesday. Counters should be filed with regard to all re-petitions within 15 days, and wherever personal appearance is required, action should be taken accordingly.

Majority of the complaints arriving at the GHMC Commissioner’s office are with regard to Town Planning issues, Mr. Lokesh Kumar noted, and said for constructions with sanctioned building permissions, the officials should inspect the site every 20 days, and ensure no deviations take place.
