Congress MP and AICC legal cell chairman Vivek K. Tankha has given a call to Telangana advocates to fight against the “undemocratic” government and begin their fight by questioning the “faulty” enumeration of voters in the State.
The Congress legal cell had played a pivotal role in removal of 70 lakh fake voters from Madhya Pradesh and 40 lakh from Rajasthan, Mr.Tankha said and sought similar alacrity in Telangana. He spoke at a state-level convention ‘Save Telangana Change Telangana’ organised by the Legal, Human Rights, and RTI department of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee on Saturday.
Criticising the TRS government, he described Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao as ‘Chota Modi’, likening him to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in “dictatorial” tendencies.
AICC legal cell secretary Vipul Maheshwari said the Telangana government was resorting to repression by foisting false cases against State Congress leaders, and called for an end to rule by a single family.
The meeting was attended by former MP R. Ananda Bhaskar, former MLA Akula Rajender, vice-president of TPCC Narsimha Reddy, and members of legal cell from across the districts.
