Explosives seized in Hyderabad

Three persons were apprehended by the Special Operations Team of Shamshabad here on Friday morning, while ‘illegally’ transporting large quantity of explosives.

Acting on a tip off, the SOT intercepted a goods vehicle on the Himayath Sagar service road, near the State Police Academy under Rajendranagar police station, and seized 750 gelatin sticks and 470 detonators along with the vehicle.

The arrested were identified as Dasari Krishna (27), G. Narsimha (30) and G. Narsimha (40), all residents Gachibowli. SOT sub-inspector K. Venkat Reddy said they brought the explosives from a stone crushing unit in Pragnapur in Medak, to Rajendranagar.
