TelanganaThe gruesome incident, in which a woman Tahsildar Vijaya Reddy, was burnt alive in her office by a man, identified as Kurra Suresh of Gowrelli village in Hayatnagar mandal, came in from condemnation from different quarters, especially the employees of Revenue Department and TNGOs across the State.

In Nizamabad, revenue employees and TNGOs took out a candle light rally on Monday evening demanding that the government ensure severe punishment to the accused.

They raised slogans against the Chief Minister for his alleged statements on Revenue employees.

Minister for Roads and Buildings V. Prashanth Reddy, meanwhile, expressed shock at the incident.

In Adilabad, Revenue employees sported black badges and the Telangana Revenue Services Association submitted a representation to Collector D. Divya with their demands.

Later, employees from various departments staged a candlelight rally from district collectorate to NTR Chowk.

In Karimnagar, Minister for BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Gangula Kamalakar along with MLC Naradasu Laxman Rao expressed solidarity to the agitating revenue and TNGOs leaders, denouncing the incident .

The Minister, who was on his way to participate in the distribution of cheques to beneficiaries of Kalyana Laxmi and Shaadi Mubarrak at the Collectorate auditorium, stopped his convoy and visited the agitation camp of the employees, who were protesting against the heinous crime of the burning alive of the Tahsildar.
