EME Centre pays homage to martyrs on 77th Corps Day

The ceremony was attended by serving and retired officials of all ranks

The EME Centre celebrated 77th Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME) Corps Day at Secunderabad on Tuesday. Lieutenant General Paramjit Singh, Commandant, MCEME and Senior Colonel Commandant, Corps of EME and Brigadier Sandeep Bhalla, Commandant, 1EME Centre, paid homage to martyrs of Corps of EME who laid down their lives to uphold the honour and pride of the country. The ceremony was attended by serving and retired officials of all ranks.

The Corps of EME, also known as ‘Eagles’, finds a special mention in the Armed Forces for providing technical support towards seamless sustenance of equipment and machinery of the Indian Army.

A special ‘Sainik Sammelan’ was also held at the Centre where the Commandant addressed the gathering of over 2,000 officers and civilian defence employees. He appreciated the hard work and dedication of all ranks and their contribution towards making EME a best training institution in the country.
