Unmindful of the rising Australian dollar rate, the island nation continues to be the second most preferred education destination after United States for the graduate students from the state. On Thursday, an education fair was organised in the city exclusively aimed at students interested in pursuing higher studies in Australian Universities. The one day fair, organised by STORM education consultants, witnessed an impressive student turnout.
About 14 Australian Universities participated in the event including top universities like La Trobe, RMIT, Deakin among others. Apart from providing information, some universities also gave spot admissions. Some universities provided scholarships up to $ 5,000 AUD and encouraged merit students to apply for them.
Throwing more light on the present education trends, Nishidhar Reddy, Managing Director, STORM education consultancy said, “Australia is preferred by many students because they easily get work permits.
Masters students can get two years and Ph.d students can get four years of work permit.
