EAMCET-II paper leak: student held

A fourth year medical student was arrested by the Crime Investigation Department on Monday in connection with the leakage of EAMCET-II paper of Telangana in 2016.

Sources said the arrested person was identified as Ganesh Prasad, an MBBS student from Davanagere in Karnataka.

Prasad, a native of Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh, had arranged three students for the camp in in Cuttack in Odisha by collecting ₹3 lakh from each student. “He conducted preparation camp with leaked questions,” an official said.

Last week, the CID officials had arrested two persons, including the dean of Sri Chaitanya Junior Colleges for involvement in leakage of EAMCET-II paper.

They arrested persons were Veleti Vasu Babu (50), dean of Sri Chaitanya Junior Colleges here, and Kamma Venkata Sivanarayana Rao (54), admission agent for Narayana and Sri Chaitanya Colleges and native of Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.
