To reduce burden on the students seriously engaged in exam preparations, the EAMCET committee decided to allow submission of bulk applications by the colleges. The facility will be available from next Monday.
However, interested colleges will have to apply for the facility and get a login and password from the EAMCET authorities and submit applications of their students at their convenience.
“They will have access to the database of only their students thus ruling out any mischief,” says EAMCET-2012 Convenor N.V. Ramana Rao.
Corporate colleges had the habit of submitting bulk applications of their students earlier to avoid mistakes by their students.
With the online submission made mandatory from this year the EAMCET authorities thought the same can be extended to them online.
The data is already available with the authorities and all that the colleges have to do is to enter the Intermediate Hall Ticket number of the student to access the data of that particular student.
Prof. Rao says parents will also be relieved since the colleges are experienced and have full-fledged teams helping their students to submit online applications of various examinations in the country. This will also avoid last minute rush and students can concentrate on their Intermediate exam preparation and later the EAMCET.
“We are not anticipating any difficulties for students during submission, but this is an additional value,” Prof. Rao said adding that the number of calls to the EAMCET office has decreased over the last few days indicating students' reception to the online process.
“Submission software is designed keeping in view all sections of students.”
Meanwhile, the number of applicants has crossed 18,000 and interestingly, about 2,000 applications were submitted on ‘ Amavasya' considered inauspicious by many.
The hits on the website have also crossed the one-lakh mark while the page views have crossed three lakh.
