April 27, 2013 12:33 am | Updated November 17, 2021 04:42 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Two persons collecting money from train passengers claiming themselves to be Travel Ticket Examiners (TTEs) were arrested by railway police at Sitaphalmandi railway station on Friday. Accused Mohd. Rafi (23) and Rizwan Hyder (28) had stopped a passenger and asked him to produce the ticket.

The duo, however, tried to flee when they saw a TTE get off an MMTS train.

They were, however, chased and caught by policemen, Secunderabad Railway SP M. Kantha Rao said. The duo admitted to having collected money from passengers by falsely claiming to be TTEs.
