Multiple government departments have been working to ensure that the distribution of fish medicine on June 8 is a smooth affair. On Tuesday, Telangana Minister for Animal Husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav said all arrangements had been made at the Exhibition Grounds for the event.

Officials from revenue, police, animal husbandry, RTC, and fire services and GHMC visited the venue and inspected the arrangements. Barricades, sheds and control rooms have been set up for the event that would take place from 9 a.m. on June 8 and June 9.

The Minister said around two lakh fishlings were procured for the purpose. Staff would be ready to replenish the fishlings whenever they get over. Mr. Yadav said a number of individuals and voluntary organisations would also help in the smooth conduct of the event by supplying water, buttermilk and food to the visitors. He praised the Bathini family members for continuing their family tradition.
