October 03, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:38 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Dispute over sale of a horse resulted in the murder of a youngster and serious knife injuries to another at Balapur in old city on Friday night. The victim was identified as Ali Afrari of Barkas. He had purchased a horse from one Md Ibrahim of Hafeezbabanagar just before Ramzan. However, he reportedly did not pay the money to Ibrahim as there was a dispute between them over the price. “They had been quarrelling over money. Afrari wanted to settle the dispute and asked Ibrahim to come to Balapur,” South zone DCP V. Satyanarayana said. Afrari picked up an argument with Ibrahim saying the sum demanded by him was too high. As tempers ran high, Afrari allegedly took out a knife and attacked Ibrahim. The knife got embedded on Ibrahim’s back. “While suffering bleeding wound, Ibrahim took out the knife from his back and stabbed Afrari,” the DCP said. Afrari died on the spot while his friend suffered minor injuries.
