Adilabad Collector D. Divya n Saturday asked officials of various department to develop all the lands distributed among landless Scheduled Caste farmers under land purchase scheme. She said the lands need to be made cultivable for the beneficiaries to benefit out of it.
At a review meeting with district officials, the Collector said since formation of Telangana State over 2,136 acres of land had been distributed among 808 beneficiaries in Adilabad district. The government had spent over about ₹ 88 crore for the purpose, she added.
She asked officials of Irrigation, Revenue, Electricity and Rural Development departments to prepare block wise proposals for digging bore wells in the lands purchased and distributed. She said lands should be developed and made cultivable under the MGNREGS.
