‘Dedh Mathwale Baba' CD film

Popular Hyderabadi stand-up comedians Hamid Kamal and Subhani who have attained worldwide fame through their stage show ‘Dedh Mathwale', have now come up with a CD film ‘Dedh Mathwale Baba'.

Directed by Hamid Alam, the comedy film has a social purpose too, informed Hamid Kamal, actor, writer and producer of the show which has completed 6,000 renditions.

Speaking at a press conference here on Sunday, Mr.Kamal said the film addresses the issue of Tantriks and fake healers deceiving the gullible in the name of curing chronic diseases and solving family feuds, only to make off with money.

The film is aimed at creating awareness about the social menace apart from providing wholesome entertainment, he said.

Besides Hamid Kamal and Subhani, other actors in the film include Habib Qadeer, Hussain Premi, Shahbuddin, Noor Jahan, K. B. Jani and others.
