Cyient Q2 net up 14%

Cyient Ltd has posted a consolidated profit after tax of ₹127.1 crore for the quarter ended September, an increase of 14% compared to the year earlier period of ₹111.4 crore.

Revenue from operations of the Hyderabad-headquartered firm, which is into engineering, manufacturing, geospatial, network, digital and operations management solutions, increased 23% to ₹1,187 crore (₹965.4 crore).

The company has declared an interim dividend of ₹6 per share (of face value of ₹5), a release from Cyient on Wednesday said.

Managing Director and CEO Krishna Bodanapu said the growth during the quarter was driven by aerospace and defence, transportation, industrial, energy and natural resources and semiconductor, IOT and analytics business units.

The outlook for FY 19 continues to remain strong, he said.
