Seven cyclists from 1EME Centre, Secunderabad, currently on an ultra-cycling expedition with an aim to break the existing Guinness world record in long-distance cycling in a single country, traversed through Secunderabad on Monday where they were welcomed by all ranks, including Commandant Brig. Sandeep Bhalla. Led by Lt. Col. Vishal Ahlawat, the team has already travelled 5,600 km across various cities and has negotiated tough terrains of Ladakh after their start from here on August 15. The expedition is being taken up to commemorate the 10th Corps Reunion in December 2018, to pay homage to martyrs and spread the message of a clean, green and pollution-free India. The cyclists aim to become the fastest ones to cover Golden Quadrilateral route by cycle and also make a mark in the Limca Book of Records for the fastest north-south and east-west traverse by cycle.
