CS gives instructions against AP orders

June 26, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:49 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Telangana Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma on Thursday gave strict orders to all heads of departments not to allow transfer of funds of Schedule Ten institutions from bank accounts to public deposit accounts as directed by the Andhra Pradesh government.

These instructions of AP government were illegal and without any authority, Mr. Sharma told the HODs representing all the 142 Schedule Ten institutions at a meeting at the Secretariat which was also attended by Advocate General K. Ramakrishna Reddy. It was held as the one year period for the bifurcation of the institutions in various Schedules of AP Reorganisation Act came to an end.

Mr. Sharma reminded the officers of the recent order of AP government seeking to operate funds of the corporations in Schedule Ten which are parked in banks through its treasury department. The instructions asking AP officials to open public deposit accounts that are maintained by the treasury should be defied at any cost or the officials of Telangana would face severe consequences.

He also asked the HODs to insist that the AP government make use of Schedule Ten institutions on ‘pay and use’ basis, now that the one year period was over. They should enter into memoranda of understanding for the purpose.
