CREDAI launches youth wing


Second generation real estate developers in the city are all set to equip themselves with skills at the ground level even as they are ahead of their parents in adopting new technologies in the construction industry.

Making them understand the industry from the bottom rather than just from the top end management is the key for making optimal use of their skills, said Jagannath Rao, who is the city coordinator of the youth wing of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) in Hyderabad.

The youth wing was launched on Wednesday here where nearly 100 young developers who are ready to inherit their parent’s business were present. Mr. Rao said most of them are management and engineering graduates and the effort would be collectively take the experience of their parents and other CREDAI members.

Mr. Rao said training sessions would be conducted on a monthly basis for the second generation entrepreneurs and the platform will also give them an insight into the challenges faced by the current market scenario.

The youth wing also aims to educate them on various aspects of the business through learning summits and study tours.

The CREDAI Hyderabad President, S. Ram Reddy said the building industry was the backbone of the city’s economy and youngsters can create a brand value to realty sector.Geetamber Anand, National President of CREDAI and National Convenor of CREDAI Youth Wing, Aditya Javdekar also shared their views.
