Activists owing allegiance to the CPI (ML-New Democracy) and its frontal organisations — PYL, PDSU and POW — took out a rally here on Friday as a mark of tribute to the Telangana martyrs on the occasion of the Telangana Formation Day. The rally, which began at the Telangana martyrs memorial, culminated in a meeting at Ramnarsaiah Vignana Kendram. Addressing the gathering, CPI (ML-ND) State assistant secretary P. Ranga Rao alleged that the TRS regime had miserably failed to deliver on its major promises. including three acre land to Dalits, one lakh jobs to unemployed youth, two-bed room houses to all shelterless people in the last three years.

He flayed the TRS government for allegedly trying to stifle the voice of the Opposition parties for raising public issues.

He called upon all sections to spearhead a joint mass movement to achieve "democratic Telangana" to see to it that the fruits of development percolate down to the underprivileged sections.
