Court admits writ petition on PGMET

April 09, 2014 11:35 pm | Updated November 17, 2021 12:10 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Justice P.Naveen Rao of the AP High Court on Wednesday admitted and ordered notices in a writ petition challenging the action of the State government in cancelling PGMET-2014 and ordering the entrance examination afresh.

The writ petition was filed by Dr. Vikram Reddy and 90 other qualified candidates. They said that 29 suspects were identified who were allegedly beneficiaries of scam by brokers. They said that the beneficiaries have been identified and their names can be deleted from rankers list. The petitioners said that they worked hard for years to get these marks and they may not be able to repeat this performance. They said that counselling based upon the earlier test may be conducted. The cancellation will ruin the genuine students when there are no allegations that the paper was leaked out and large scale malpractices. The case is now listed to April 17.
