The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee leaders will embark on a bus yatra from Tuesday as part of their “Rythu Bharosa Yatra”.
TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, former Minister D.Sridhar Babu and chief spokesperson Dasoju Shravan told reporters that they would expose the TRS Government’s misrule by directly calling on the distressed farmers.
To begin with, the TPCC leaders and legislators would travel to Mahabubnagar on October 6, Medak (Oct. 7), Khammam (Oct. 8), Warangal (Oct. 9) and participate in a big way in the State bandh call given by all parties on October 10. They would continue their yatra on October 11 in Nizamabad. They flayed the reluctance of the Government to waive the farm loans. They said the farmers, who dreamt that their future would be secure in the new State are resorting to suicides unable to clear mounting debts. The Government had not taken one concrete step to mitigate the sufferings of farmers, Mr. Uttam Kumar Reddy charged.
