Congress MLA from Nakrekal, Chirumarthi Lingaiah, would officially join the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) after meeting the party’s working president K.T. Rama Rao on Wednesday.

Speaking to reporters at the residence of former MLA Vemula Veeresham here on Tuesday, Mr. Lingaiah along with Forest Development Corporation Chairman Banda Narender Reddy said he would join the TRS at Pragati Bhavan, Hyderabad.

Mr. Lingaiah’s supporters – newly-elected sarpanchs and mandal leaders, would also join TRS, Mr. Reddy said.

“We will all work together in helping Bura Narsaiah Goud win the Bhongir Lok Sabha seat,” he said.
