The Telangana Rashtra Samithi went for premature dissolution of the Legislative Assembly as the Congress party was frequently putting up obstacles to the development activity taken up by the government, TRS leader and minister in the caretaker government K. Taraka Rama Rao said and exuded confidence that the party will return to power and resume its mission of development of the State post-December 11.

The Congress party was filing cases in courts on irrigation redesigns thereby hindering development, and now it has stooped to seeking favours from a neighbour Chief Minister for candidate seats, Mr. Rama Rao said and claimed that the Congress leaders are losing their respect in Telangana.

‘Accommodating all’

“They might go to Rahul for seats, Babu for notes, but surely they will come to you asking for votes. Teach them a lesson,” the TRS leader told the thousands who attended the Aler Praja Ashirvada Sabha here on Sunday.

Mr. Rao described the TRS electoral symbol — car — as one accommodating all sections of people, and being driven by its leader K. Chandrasekhar Rao towards development, said it should not stop. The TRS leader also promised an industrial corridor from Hyderabad to Warangal thereby enabling more employment here, and a multi-modal rail transport system from Hyderabad to Raigiri to encourage tourism.

Godavari waters

The Minister also assured that the Kaleswaram Lift Irrigation Scheme will be completed to bring Godavari waters to Aler, and the Yadadri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple will be ready soon. Mission Bhagiratha will also supply water to all household by the month-end, he claimed.

Thanking Mr. Rao and others who came to bless her in her electoral campaigns and for the contest on December 7, Aler’s TRS candidate G. Sunitha Reddy said she was confident of winning in the constituency.

Rajya Sabha member B. Lingaiah Yadav, Bhongir MP B. Narsaiah Goud, Nalgonda MP Gutha Sukender Reddy and others were present.
