Freeedom fighter, K. Rami Reddy, is no more

Eminent freedom fighter, Kalimekolan Rami Reddy, passed away at his native village, Pallepadu in Nalgonda district, on Tuesday. He was 96. He participated in the freedom movement and the Telangana armed struggle and was jailed for 3 years in Jalna in 1949. A recipient of Freedom Fighters Tamarapatra, he became active in the CPI. Indian Journalist Union president, S.N. Sinha, secretary general, Devulapalli Amar, Press Council of India member, K. Amarnath and others expressed sympathy to his son and journalist K. Sreenivas Reddy and other family members.
