Commission for disabled sought

Telangana Vikalangula JAC demanded allocation of 3 per cent of budget of each department towards the welfare of the disabled as per the provisions of the Persons With Disability (PWD) Act. It also sought the setting up of a Commission at the State level to look after the welfare of disabled persons. Speaking to presspersons here on Wednesday, JAC chairman M. Srinivasulu and vice-chairman N. Nageshwara Rao, asked the TRS government to fulfil the promises it made to the disabled in the election manifesto.
