CM for pay hike to State staff

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to hike the salaries of Telangana government staff, pending finalisation of the Pay Revision Commission recommendations.

Mr. Rao on Monday discussed the PRC recommendations with Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma, Principal Finance Secretary V. Nagi Reddy and senior finance officials K. Ramakrishna Rao and N. Sivasankar. Later, he constituted a high-powered committee headed by Special Chief Secretary K. Pradeep Chandra to consider the recommendations and determine fitment. The committee will hold discussions with employees’ organisations and submit its recommendations to the government.
