City to host Danube’s first India store

The city is set to open doors to another large retailer in the furniture and home furnishings space. Danube, a well known name in Middle East, will open its first store in the country here in September, Industries Secretary Jayesh Ranjan said. It will come up on a private land.

Seeking to highlight assistance provided by the State government, he turned to representatives of Swedish firms, saying: “IKEA has done enough due diligence about Hyderabad, you just close your eyes and give your [investment] cheques to us.”
