The stage is set for the conduct of celestial carillon, an aerial performance inspired by Calder that combines theatre, music and fine arts, in the city.
Being presented as part of Bonjour India 2017-18, the Celestial Carillon will feature an orchestra by 17 bell-ringers and aerialists will be lifted 55 metres skywards in the concert and performance where audience will face artistes and the machinery of carillon, a music box with automatic set of bells.
The third edition of the event to be organised at the People’s Plaza here on February 13 is part of the four-month-long voyage across the country for celebrating Indo-French friendship as well as shape the next decade of human exchange between the two countries.
Tourism Minister Ajmira Chandulal unveiled the poster of the event at a meeting here on Friday. The event is organised by French Institute in India/Embassy of France with the support of Telangana Tourism, Alliance Francaise and Krishnakriti Foundation.
According to Tourism Secretary Burra Venkatesham, Bonjour India would cover 100 projects in 33 cities across 20 States and Union Territories in the country. It would provide platform for enduring partnerships on themes of Smart Citizen, High Mobility and Go Green.
