City on alert after blast in Bangalore

A security alert was sounded in Hyderabad and its outskirts following the blast in Bangalore on Wednesday.

Scores of teams from different wings of the city police, including the Commissioner’s Task Force, city security wing and local law and order police went around crowded places and undertook security checks. Vehicles were checked randomly on a large scale at various junctions. Commuters were subjected to frisking.

Abandoned vehicles

The Task Force teams found several vehicles lying abandoned at Chenoy Trade Centre in Secunderabad and called the local police to seize them. Meanwhile, teams from security wing and bomb disposal squads conducted anti-sabotage checks at theatres, malls and busy commercial localities.
