Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan and Chief Minister K. Chandrasehar Rao offered floral tributes at Bapu Ghat here on Monday on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi.

They later participated in the All Religion Prayer meeting organised in the conference hall.

Legislative Council Chairman K. Swamy Goud, Legistative Assembly Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali, Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, several ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs from various parties participated in the prayer meeting. About 200 students from various schools also attended the prayer meeting. Freedom Fighter Babu Rao Varma visited Bapu Ghat and paid floral tributes.
