Motorola is set to launch a “care on wheels” service in the city that will provide cell phone repairs at your doorstep, soon.
The service which was successfully launched on a pilot basis in New Delhi is expected to be available in 10 cities across the country - including Hyderabad, officials of the cell phone company announced here on Tuesday.
In the country’s capital, the pilot project runs eight vans that take executives to people’s homes for managing after sales services.
The same capacity will be duplicated in Hyderabad, said Amit Boni, general manager, Motorola Mobility, India, at a media conference held in the city. “We have not decided on the launch date as of now,” Mr Boni said. The company currently has 160 service centres across the country out of which four are in Telangana. Motorola cell phones - Moto E, 4G and 3G variants have made good sales in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, company officials said.
