CBSE results out: city students shine

City students have come out with flying colours in the all-important class X CBSE exams, the results of which were announced on Monday.

A few of them found their names in the toppers’ list in the country. Two students scored 497 out of a total 500 marks, the third highest score shared by many.

100% marks

Several students from the city secured 100% marks in mathematics, science, Telugu and Urdu.

The secondary school examination were conducted from February 15 to April 4. The overall pass percentage across the country is 91.10, an improvement of 4.40% from previous year’s 86.70%.

From the city, the schools which reported 100% results include Hyderabad Public School, Ramanthapur, Johnson Grammar School, CBSE, Nacharam, Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Kondapur, Gitanjali Devashray, Secunderabad, Meridian School for Boys and Girls, Banjara Hills, DDMS P Obul Reddy Public School, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Public School (Vidyashram), Jubilee Hills, Jubilee Hills Public School and Army Public School, RK Puram.

Harshini Maddala from Meridian School for Boys and Girls, and Ankit Saha from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Public School, BHEL, secured 497 out of 500.

Another topper

Shambhavi Khulbey from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Public School (Vidyashram), Jubilee Hills, scored 496 marks.
