Making healthcare of employees a priority, Phoenix special economic zone (SEZ) teamed up with Call Health – that launched Healthcare Lounge – to cater to over 20,000 employees working in IT and ITES companies in the SEZ at Gachibowli.

The lounge provides physical services, virtual services through e-consultations across 25 specialities and wellness sessions for the employees. It will be operational for eight hours a day, five days a week and working professionals would have access to healthcare, prevention, wellness, cure and care at the convenience of a call/walk-in.

The actor couple, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Amala Akkineni, known for the importance they give to physical fitness and health, launched the healthcare lounge at the Phoenix SEZ in the presence of Phoenix Group Chairman Suresh Chukkapalli and Call Health CEO Hari Thalapalli here on Friday.

The Call Health integrated healthcare services focus on end-to-end healthcare delivery services such as diagnostics, care at home, hospital facilitation, wellness, counselling and family doctor, using a e-Health platform.

Appreciating the health care lounge initiative, Ms. Amala said employees in their quest to deliver forget to listen to their own bodies. “As a working woman, wife, and mother, one is expected to juggle so many different roles and for that, one has to have good health,” she said. Nagarjuna said he realised with experience that regular exercise and workout, eating and sleeping well would give incredible benefits. “I became addicted to the regimen though I started it for my role in film ‘Siva’ 30 years back, and it became part of my life,” he said.

Mr. Suresh of Phoenix Group said, by next year, the SEZ would have 50,000 employees working in it and the group would strive to bring more facilities to the employees in future.
