Osmania University students, teaching and non-teaching staff expressed happiness after Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation resumed city buses via university campus on Saturday after a gap of more than three years.

RTC authorities said everyday over 700 trips would be operated via university campus connecting different places like Koti, Dilsukhnagar, Charminar from Musheerabad, Kacheguda and Kushaiguda depots.

Thanking RTC vice-chairman and Managing Director A.K. Khan, who visited the campus, students said they are now saved from paying exorbitant fares demanded by the auto drivers.

Osmania University Vice-Chancellor S. Satyanarayana, RTC Greater Hyderabad zone Executive Director A. Koteswara Rao and others were also present on the occasion, said a press release.
