The YSR Congress (YSRC) has requested the Telangana Rashtra Samiti-led State government to conduct an impartial inquiry into the cash- for-vote case and bring the mastermind to book. YSRC leader Botcha Satyanarayana wondered as to how TDP president and AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was spared for so long in spite of the audio-visual evidence exposing his involvement in the issue. Only the MLA who acted as courier in the episode was arrested and the entire case appeared to be hushed up. Since the Forensic Science Laboratory of Chandigarh had submitted its report, the TRS government should proceed in accordance with the law and conduct fair inquiry to upkeep the democratic principles.

He alleged that Mr. Naidu compromised to the TRS government on various aspects ever since his alleged involvement was exposed and gave up rightful share of Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister went back on his promise of construction of 125-feet Ambedkar statue by allotting 15-acre land. The government had issued orders sanctioning ₹190 crore for the project, but tenders have not been invited so far, Mr. Satyanarayana alleged.
