‘Chief Minister playing mind games’

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is ready to face early elections and will participate in a full-fledged manner whenever they are held, whether general elections or the Assembly polls, asserted Telangana unit president K. Laxman on Monday.

The BJP leader currently participating in the ‘Jana Chaitanya Yatra’ informed press persons at Ibrahimpatnam that the people of Telangana were waiting to question Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for not delivering on the promises made during the last elections. Mr. Laxman charged the Chief Minister with playing “mind games” to divert the people’s attention to his failures by boasting about winning 100 seats.

“If the surveys are true why is he desperate to lure leaders from other parties?” he wondered. Taking strong objection to KCR’s comments on his party, he said the Chief Minister was unable to digest the response to his tour and was speaking out of “frustration”.

Earlier, addressing a public meeting, Mr. Laxman challenged KCR to explain why he could not make Hyderabad into a “global city” in the last four years and why the capital roads continue to be riddled with potholes. Turncoat MLAs lured to TRS should be made to resign and elections should be held immediately, he said.

He said KCR had been unable to answer why he could not provide jobs to every household leaving the youth and unemployed crestfallen. Instead, five of his family members got “good jobs.” The two-bedroom housing scheme has turned out to be a mirage for scores of people while journalists have been left high and dry about the housing scheme.

The Government has utterly failed in providing drinking water, irrigation or even the KG to PG education as promised in the election manifesto. People were looking up to Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi attracted by his scam-free governance along with the welfare and development schemes, the BJP leader added.
