Five BJP MLAs protested outside the Assembly gagging themselves with black ribbon and walking into the premises holding placards.

They staged a silent protest at Telangana Martyrs’ Memorial in front of the Assembly and then went inside. BJP leader in Assembly G. Kishan Reddy asked how a suspension slapped on them for questioning religion-based reservation to Muslims was valid during special Assembly session.

Later, they went to Raj Bhavan to complain to Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan that they were not allowed to participate in Assembly proceedings.

They told media persons that the Governor promised to take it up with Speaker S. Madhusudana Chary. They said the party opposed the changes taken up by the special session.
