US clinical documentation services provider Aquity Solutions, as part of plans to grow its coding and scribing operations in India, will hire around 1,000 scribes and 250 coders for its facilities in the city by next year.
Hyderabad is one of the important centres hosting three facilities of the company that employ around 1,000 people.
Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Visakhapatnam, Bengaluru and Coimbatore are the other cities where the company’s facilities are located.
The company planned to grow its India headcount from 4,500 to ,000 by end of 2020, CEO Kashyap Joshi told media.
A good chunk of the addition would happen in Hyderabad. Behind the plan of the company to grow the core verticals of coding and scribing in India was a projection that the market opportunity in the US alone, for the services, would increase from around $8.9 billion to $19.16 billion by 2022.
Globally, Aquity employs over 7,000 people for medical transcription, medical coding, virtual scribing, and interim management services, he said.
